Manufast, an adapted work company (employing people with disabilities) from Brussels, decided to use their experience in e-picking to develop opportunities in the area of sustainable food and is now launching Sociaago, a cooperative with a social purpose. Sociaago is a food logistics hub serving the food belt of the Brussels Region and offering short circuit organic products to distributors and restaurateurs while integrating a social dimension.

Why they joined the co.food ecosystem

As a sustainable and social entrepreneurship catalyst, my objective is to help businesses see how, by reducing their environmental footprint and increasing their positive social impact, they can make their long-term strategy both coherent, efficient and meaningful. I am convinced that it is possible to make sustainability go hand-in-hand with profitability.
Today, I am joining Co Food with great enthusiasm. Through my involvement in färm.coop I have been convinced that we can “change the world by eating” (färm’s motto). Regenerative agriculture and food solutions, sustainable distribution processes, as well as short food supply chain, are not only the best, but the only way to go.
